GeoQuest
Mobile geography learning game prototype designed with game-based learning and design thinking principles.
About the project
GeoQuest was developed as a class project for EME 6235 Managing Educational Projects. GeoQuest uses a mobile game format to make geography learning more active, interactive, and connected to real-world problem solving.

About the project
GeoQuest was developed as a class project for EME 6235 Managing Educational Projects. The project focused on planning, managing, and presenting an educational technology concept from idea to prototype. GeoQuest uses a mobile game format to make geography learning more active, interactive, and connected to real-world problem solving.

Prototype Preview
GeoQuest is a mobile geography learning game designed to support adult learners’ curiosity, spatial reasoning, and lifelong learning. The project uses game-based learning and design thinking to make geography learning more active through map exploration, quizzes, missions, feedback, avatars, and rewards.
The design process included empathy mapping, personas, storyboards, user flows, low-fidelity prototypes, high-fidelity prototypes, cognitive walkthroughs, and usability planning. The final prototype shows how geography learning can move beyond memorization toward an interactive experience where learners explore, solve challenges, and build geographic knowledge through play.
